Sometimes you don’t need to know exactly where you’re going. You just need one idea strong enough to take the first step.

Inspired in part by Lead the Way by Reem, this piece became about following an idea rather than controlling where it should end up. One decision leads to another, a line creates the possibility for the next, and eventually you find yourself somewhere you couldn’t have planned from the beginning.

Its sparkling blue ground shifts with the light, while the detailed linework introduces movement across the canvas. And the yellow fringe?!? Had to be done!

A smaller work with an energetic presence, made for those corners of a home where you want the eye to stop rather than simply pass through.
