Price Transparency

"The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it."
- Henry David Thoreau

Why my prices are what they are?

I created this page because I want to be transparent with you about my prices.
People often look at art (not only mine) and they think "I love it, but it's too expensive."
And I get it, not all art is affordable, however, every pocket is different, and every artwork is unique too.

Probably because I have painted all my life, and I had art on my walls since I can remember, I believe everybody deserves to have original art in their homes, that's why I have pieces that start from 25€ and this will never change. I promise!

I stand behind my prices, which means the price you see on this website, even though it might vary over time, is not negotiable, unless stated otherwise.

When you buy something from an artist, you're buying more than an object. You're buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation, moments of pure joy. You're not buying just one thing, you're buying a piece of a heart, a piece of a soul, an experience.

All my pieces are priced based on size and what kind of surface they are. I have a formula I use to calculate prices.
The formula helps me estimating more or less how much time it's going to take me to create a piece, plus how much paint I will need.

I use very high quality materials because I want colours to be as bright and vivid as possible, and I want my canvases/paper to last forever!

A part from paint, canvases and sponges or brushes, there are loads of other art supplies that are needed in the studio, from tape for shipping to cleaning products, from printing business cards to website and tech tools + much more...

Time is a very important factor too.
It's very hard to quantify the amount of time I spend in the studio. But I can tell you that painting an artwork, depending on the size, can take me between 30 minutes to 20+ hours. And that doesn't include the time I spend driving to the art shop to purchase paint and canvases...

In the studio (and on the train on my way to work every morning) I run my business, which means taking care of my website, answering emails, organise shipping and all the not very glamours activities like cleaning my inbox, invoices, stock, work on Instagram and so on...

I know art isn't a necessity, but I hope for you to fill your life with art and find that special painting that brings your creativity out and makes you smile every time you look at it.

If one of my pieces resonates with you, remember I offer payment plans and I will be very happy to walk you through the process.
